Nottingham Artists' Group

Located within City Buildings (built 1896-8 by Nottingham architect Gilbert Smith Doughty) close to the railway station within the city centre, Nottingham Artists' Group was the first studio group to be established in Nottingham. Having been set up in 1982 it has provided studio space to a broad range of artists. Currently it houses nine artists working independently. Work ranges from oil and acrylic paintings, ceramics, sculptures and prints. Individuals from this group have exhibited both nationally and internationally.

Nottingham Artists' Group member Pauline Lucas is currently in the process of compiling an archive of Nottingham studio groups and artists - more information coming soon.
