Mike Crook: Film
Actor and Film Maker I have been making short films for several years, exploring animation using computer software, live performance to camera and digital technology and documentary film making; I do the writing, improvisation and performance, as with my other work as an actor and comedian. My work uses parody, humour and characterisation to create entertaining reflections on the commercial aspects of life. I worked with SHORT SHOOTS, an Open Studios project. Working collaboratively, in a multi skilled team, we explored animation, drama and documentary film making with young people. My work has been screened in Nottingham’s Bang Festival 2003 and in Lady Bay Open Studios Cinema Screenings 2002,2003,2004.
