Joy Buttress hand makes felt using merino sheep`s wool and a variety of
other materials including mohair and silk chiffon to produce scarves,
large wall hangings and framed wall pieces.  She experiments  with
line, texture and repetition taking inspiration from nature, in
particular- flowers, seeds and more recently moths.  One of her
intentions is to change peoples perceptions of this ancient craft and
give it a fresh and contemporary appeal.
