Exhibiting Artists 2005
HIGHLIGHTS THIS YEAR - OUR TENTH ANNIVERSARY For our 10th event we have a theme of 'Light' running through many of the visiting artists' exhibits. Artists are using light both directly (including ceramic, plastic and textile lamps, felt chandeliers, painted light boxes and film) and indirectly (including working with glass, mirrors, lustre, reflection, transparency and shiny sweetie papers). We hope you enjoy finding the thread as you go round - you won't miss it in the walk in sculpture specially installed in the Scout Hut.
We know you will enjoy all our artists showing in 2005; we are delighted to have Adam Shaw with us, who designs and makes alternative clothing with attitude at Rutland Road, whose work goes all over the world. The work of many of our artists is seen internationally, but it is a special pleasure to welcome two young artists showing for the first time in this country Tomomi Natsume and Anneke Hansen in Breckles Hall - BRING YOUR HOLIDAY EUROS with you to operate Anneke's special 'Nature Dispenser'! In the workshops, adults - not just the children - can enjoy exploring methods or media that the artists use. Take your camera to the Slide workshop and put yourself in your artwork, or (on Saturday only) compose with colour and line for musicians COMA to use as a score in improvised live performance.
