2004 Open Studios Weekend
OPEN STUDIOS WEEKEND 2004 View the 2004 report View the tour guide for the 2004 event View the list of artists who showed in 2004 This was our 9th show, seeing around 30 artists at 11 venues, all within easy walking distance and all offering a welcoming lively experience. If you wanted your portrait painted, Toby Jennings, the Nottingham based artist, was in All Hallows Hall, on the hour, every hour, ready and waiting! If you fancied decorating a Raku pot then Brian Holland was there to guide you through the different glazes and to fire it for you at 42 Seymour Rd. Resident Lady Bay glass artists Hywel and Michelene Harris offered a glass mosaic workshop at 197 Trent Boulevard; there were potters potting, the felt group felting, a printer printing and with your assistance a ‘Stixx’ construction was built - using a simple and clever construction technique that recycles newspaper pages into construction sticks you helped transform a yard into a wonderland over the weekend.
